And just like that, another month went by.
Once again, work consumed quite a bit of my time. One thing I did like about July was that it ended on a Friday, and a new month started on a Saturday, essentially leading into Monday. It feels like a nice, clean reset, a fresh way to look at things.
Looking back at everything I wanted to finish in July, I didn't get through most of it. I never finished my Arrowverse recap, nor did I finish my review of Project Hail Mary. I only posted one movie review, Supergirl, and between you and me, I actually watched the cam-rip version first. I did go back and watch the digital release when it came out, but my review still stands.

I also posted two race recaps, but I still have another two pending. One is now two weeks late, and the other is one week late. It's not that I hate writing them, but some of the fans of certain drivers are just so fucking annoying that they genuinely make me lose my mind sometimes. Either way, those two are definitely going out today, along with another review.
As for apps, I worked on absolutely nothing. I was genuinely just too tired to either code or write.
That whole mentality eventually led me to something I found interesting. For a while, I kept telling myself I felt like I had nothing to do. I ended up writing a Mini about it, and somewhere along the way I realized that wasn't really true. My routines had simply changed.
For the past four years, college gave my life a consistent structure. Now, with work replacing college, I quietly settled into an entirely different routine without ever consciously noticing it. There's a much deeper analysis behind that realization, so if you're interested, do check out that Mini.
Minis - The Enigma of Liminality
Looking ahead to August, I'm actually feeling pretty hyped and energetic. I'm planning to start working out soon. I sometimes hate when people wait for the beginning of a month or some arbitrary date to start something because it can easily become an excuse if you miss it. That said, I also understand why people do it. Personally, I don't really fall into that trap, so let's start.
As for the blog, I've got a healthy backlog waiting for me. There are reviews I've been meaning to finish, new releases coming up, and plenty of things I still need to watch. Overall, I think this is going to be a really good month for writing.
Of course, it wouldn't be life without the occasional speed breaker trying to ruin the mood.
The controller I bought recently decided that its LT trigger no longer wanted to work. Thankfully it was still under warranty, so I got in touch with customer support and they assured me it would be replaced soon. I genuinely get confused sometimes because I don't really spend money on myself all that often. Most of my spending goes towards food. So when I finally bought myself a controller, I was genuinely happy. I played a lot of F1 2020 with it, so seeing it stop working this soon was definitely disappointing. Still, this is one of those problems that has a solution. It'll get replaced, I'll have my controller back, and all will be well.
I'm also heading back to college this week for a farewell event with the club, and I'm honestly looking forward to that.
I also refuse to spend more than five hundred rupees on a cinema ticket because that's just ridiculous. I'm waiting for The Odyssey to become cheaper before I watch it, and I'm hoping to catch Spider-Man this week since I checked the show timings too late last weekend. I still find it absolutely crazy that it's probably going to make a billion dollars in less than a week.
That said, I'm still going to judge it on its own merits. I absolutely despise Spider-Man: No Way Home, and if anything, I'd still like my money back for that horror of a movie. Here's to August. Let's enjoy it.
See you next month.
